There are 26 letters in the English language, and we need every single one of them. Want proof? Choose a letter and write a blog post without using it. (Feeling really brave? Make it a vowel!)
Today I have written my first concrete poem. It was a challenge to get started but worked in the end. I think the title of the poem speaks for itself. Without the letter the title of this blog is Inspriring Ax—to easy to be wrongly used and interpreted.
One day there was a
letter of the alphabet that
could not be spoken. She was
special. Living in the centre.
Lots of words were
never able to be
re cog nised
with out
her. After
all adult
lady of the
group doesn’t
sound okay.
A perfect M, I think you’ve managed to create your own font. I used photoshop to get the editing right when I tried a concrete poem, so really impressed when someone can do it with the wordpress editor alone. Atriarch, I discovered, is a four piece band who engage in sonic ritual. You might have discovered a means to add to the English lexicon.
P.S. Thanks for the Versatile Blogger nomination below.
Marvelously done. I myself didn’t attempt it. It felt so difficult. I could only think of x.
Thanks I considered not doing it and then came up with the idea to attempt a concrete poem. They are tricky but worthwhile.
Great work with the dp prompt!
the poem shows your awesome effort with concrete style.
Thank you. It was fun I will work with it more as the opportunity arises.
Job well done!
Wow, you nailed it!! I couldn’t attempt the prompt myself !!
Thank you I nearly didn’t attempt it but I am glad I did and happy with the result. Poetry is a new thing for me.
If it’s as new as you say it is, then you are a natural!! Keep writing!
Thanks
