The scariest edge I have been on is in the Taihang Mountains in Central China. We were visiting the Guoliang Tunnel—hand made over 5 years by 13 men to connect the village of Guoliang to the outside world. Prior to this they were living on the edge with only a sky ladder to physically take every thing up. The tunnel itself is described as one of the scariest roads in the world and the video shows why. You can see the edge at every twist and turn.

Very striking photographs. Thank you.
It was a n amazing place. Glad you liked them.
WOWee even if i didn’t suffer from vertigo there is nooooo way I would want to go on that road nor mountain lol, that is one scary transport system. I totally understand why they did it and it’s a feat of endurance, but wow I would never want to be in a vehicle nor on foot there haha. You really brought the edge to this post, thank you for joining Eclectic Corner 😀 xx
These days traffic only goes up. To get down they use a back road. We walked up and it is steep but not as scary. You are too busy thinking about the fact that they carved it out by hand.
yes true, that was a real feat, amazing x
Wow. That’s both incredible and insane. Props to you for braving the heights. ✪
It wasn’t so scary when we were there. It was amazing although I am sure it was the highest mountain I had ever been on.
It definitely is although beautiful at the same time.
